Shares represent ownership in a business

A stock price expresses the market’s valuation of future results, risks and the rights of a particular share class. A popular product or growing company does not guarantee an equivalent return from a share bought at any price.

The catalogue contains thirty selected US-listed securities. It is not a continuously recalculated ranking of the world’s largest companies. It also includes foreign companies accessed through US-market instruments, such as TSMC.

Revenue, earnings and market expectations

Revenue measures sales, profit an accounting result, and cash flow the movement of funds. They can develop differently, particularly during an investment cycle. A business can report growth and disappoint investors who expected even more.

Read the company model alongside the chart: cloud infrastructure at Microsoft has different economics from chip platforms at Nvidia.

Trading sessions and comparable returns

Daily change uses the previous session. Weekends do not create new regular trading hours. The terminal shows Prague time, so differing daylight-saving transitions can briefly change the local opening hour of US markets.

Volume counts shares. A dollar price chart is not automatically a total-return series with reinvested dividends. Simple mode’s 1D and 5D use available trading sessions; MAX follows available history. Compare related businesses such as Visa and Mastercard, while accounting for their own costs and valuation.
