USDC
USDCUSDC and its reserve model
USDC is a stablecoin issued by Circle and designed to track the US dollar. Its arrangement combines reserve assets with issuance and redemption rules. Holding a token is different from holding an ordinary personal bank deposit.
USDC is used for exchange settlement, transfers and blockchain applications. Its usefulness depends on liquidity, supported networks and the services through which a holder can access it.
Redemption and transfer compatibility
Direct redemption follows issuer conditions and eligibility. An exchange trade is a separate transaction and can occur at a slightly different price. Market confidence, access to banking and arbitrage capacity influence deviations from the dollar target.
When transferring USDC, check the receiving network and exact supported token version. A familiar ticker does not make every wrapped or bridged representation equivalent to a native issuance.
Reading stablecoin ratios
A USDC/USDT candle compares two dollar-linked tokens. It does not directly isolate a USDC deviation from USD. Broader USD figures and the displayed chart unit must therefore be read separately. Tether, DAI and USDe help compare different approaches to maintaining a target value.
