Compare two personal fee assumptions
Separate a single trade, a currency-cost portion and a chosen count of monthly payments without turning unknown fees into zero. The calculator starts with prefilled, editable model assumptions and a result. These are not an actual quote, company accounts or recommended values. Edit the inputs and recalculate; Restore example returns to the initial assumptions.
1. Set the scope of this cost model
Enter one positive hypothetical trade amount, the portion used as a currency-fee base and an explicit number of monthly fixed payments from 0 to 120. All amounts share one chosen currency. The model does not fetch an exchange rate or convert a fee quoted in another currency.
A and B are personal assumptions, not current broker tariffs. Only one trade and the stated conversion portion are included; monthly fixed payments do not repeat the trade. Custody percentages, inactivity conditions, taxes and actual broker billing calendars are outside this narrow model.
2. Distinguish unknown, absent and known zero bounds
The unbounded trade fee is the supplied fixed fee plus the trade amount multiplied by the commission percentage. Then a known minimum is applied, followed by a known maximum. Explicitly select no minimum or no maximum when you want to omit that stage. A known minimum above a known maximum is a conflicting input.
An unknown rate, fixed fee or bound leaves the trade fee unknown. It is not a zero fee or an unlimited ceiling. A known zero must be supplied explicitly. A separately known raw fee can remain visible even when an unknown bound prevents the final trade fee.
3. Compare only complete totals
The currency component uses your stated portion and fee percentage. A portion of zero means no conversion in this model, rather than a verified zero tariff. Similarly, zero monthly payments means that component is not applicable; it does not establish a free account. Positive operations with an unknown fee remain unknown.
