Reading original interval electricity prices
Select an actually registered bidding zone and local delivery dates. One original result supplies the quarter-hour chart, whole table, Value Passport and export. The first visit reads an available default registered zone and a short period within actual coverage. Use the controls for another zone or custom dates; an absent source is never substituted.
1. A zone is a delivery market, not an entire country
In Energy open Day-ahead electricity prices. Bidding zone offers only available registered sources; an energy_zone record has its exact code and Data Passport. A country with energy indicators is a different identity. Native zone detail fixes that zone; Other bidding zones links open other actually registered zones.
You are reading a wholesale auction price in EUR/MWh, not a household tariff, a real-time execution or forecast. The previous supported reader remains preserved; the shared view adds exact catalogue identity, one query and provenance.
2. Prepare local dates and explicitly apply
First delivery day and Last delivery day are local calendar dates in the selected timezone, at most seven days inside actual captured coverage. Prepare captured window fills a draft only. Check the timezone and displayed UTC bounds; a local day need not last 24 hours across clock changes.
Only Apply zone and period creates a new price query for chart, table, Passport and export. Editing a draft does not overwrite the previously applied zone or result; its applied period remains above it. Refresh catalogue and coverage checks registration and available dates without creating prices.
3. Each step belongs to its own quarter hour
Each chart step holds one auction price over its own delivery interval. Selected original interval and Original interval Passport connect it to exact provenance. Negative prices and genuine zero are values; a missing or unusable price remains a gap. Quarter hours are not silently converted to daily closes or household bills.
Upcoming delivery · auction price means future delivery at an established auction price, not an observed future spot trade. Delivering-now and delivered intervals remain distinct. The displayed interval end is exclusive; original canonical period_end is one microsecond earlier, derived from documented PT15M rather than the next row.
4. Whole table and exact local offsets
All original intervals retains every row of the selected result, its price or missing reason, delivery state, original UTC bounds and quality. Local offsets distinguish repeated hours. A page holds up to 96 intervals, not a fixed day length; pagination narrows neither chart nor whole export. A row’s Value Passport opens the same shared detail as the chart.
5. Distinguish generation, capture and publication
Value Passport preserves the original offset timestamp, numeric token including zero or null, unit, zone, resolution, requested local dates and original licence statement. Document generated at source is not a proven auction publication time or Datisto’s first capture. Observed by Datisto, input storage and query computation are distinct clocks; unknown publication is not estimated.
6. Export the same result and handle unavailability
Export analysis reviews the displayed result and current access before Download JSON or Download CSV. The whole result, query, method, manifest and original evidence share the chart/table scope; the selected page does not narrow it. JSON retains complete typed information; CSV protects text cells against formulas. Download creates neither a saved Snapshot nor new redistribution permission.
Missing registration, coverage, source or current verification stays explicit. This view substitutes no other zone, newer original or replacement price. Refreshing the catalogue or the same result is not an electricity order and unlocks no unrelated private data.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
