Comparing original bidding-zone electricity prices
Select two or three available zones and common delivery dates. One original result shows separate EUR/MWh series, every interval, provenance and the whole export.
1. Open comparison mode
In Energy switch to Compare zones. Two available registered zones and a bounded common period are prepared; apply the comparison control for your own selection of two or three zones. An unavailable zone is not substituted. Each zone’s native Data Passport and original single-zone view remain separate.
The comparison uses original wholesale auction prices in EUR/MWh at PT15M resolution. These are not household tariffs, real-time executions, forecasts or a new spread calculation. Each series retains its own source and capture time; one result does not imply simultaneous source capture.
2. Review common whole days
The reference timezone is Europe/Prague. First delivery day and Last delivery day select at most seven whole reference-calendar days inside every zone’s captured overlap. Prepare common window fills only a draft; review common whole days and exact prepared UTC bounds. A comparison cannot be applied without a verified common whole day.
A time overlap does not prove every price inside it is available. Missing prices remain gaps. Each source retains its original timezone and offset; the reference axis never rewrites them. Clock changes can alter day length.
3. Apply one common query
Only Apply comparison creates one common query for all selected series. Chart, table, summary, Passport and whole export share that result and manifest. Later draft edits leave the previously applied zone set and dates clearly labelled below until a new selection is applied.
Refresh catalogue and coverage checks registration and time coverage, not new prices. A failed check retains the draft. Neither query nor comparison adds another source, currency conversion, interpolation or replacement zero.
4. Inspect series, intervals and provenance
Original interval prices · common scale gives each zone its own colour and legend. Each horizontal segment belongs only to its original delivery interval. Zero and negative prices are values; a missing or unusable point is never bridged. Future delivery remains an established auction price, not an observed future trade.
Selected original interval and zone opens the exact series and observation through Original interval Passport. All intervals of every selected zone shows the same cohort in a complete paginated table, with reference/original local and UTC times, quality and missingness. No artificial row is created for another zone’s absent counterpart. Value Passport keeps original token, offset, source generation, capture and unknown publication distinct.
5. Export retains the whole comparison
Export analysis reviews the same displayed result and current access to every selected source before JSON or CSV download. Neither table page nor selected point narrows the export. The file retains original series, query, manifest and evidence; it fetches no newer replacement data and creates neither a saved Snapshot nor new redistribution permission.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
