Valuing a mixed portfolio in its base currency
Use the same reviewed prices and an explicitly selected CNB day. Conversion retains original values and cash, and separates the known portion from a complete total.
1. Prepare the original mixed valuation
In Portfolio, first prepare One portfolio valuation: explicitly choose source families, review units and calculate the native report. Then open Value in portfolio base currency. Conversion neither substitutes a newer price nor recalculates quantities; the native report remains separate and unchanged.
The actual base currency of your portfolio is used, limited to CZK, EUR or USD. An unsupported base is not switched to USD and the ledger setting is not changed.
2. Choose a day and review original fixings
In CNB fixing date choose a specific day within the permitted seven-day window relative to valuation cutoff. Load original fixings reads the exact source series for 1 USD and 1 EUR in CZK. Review the day, value, unit quantity, quality and availability of both original rows.
An absent, invalid or nonpositive rate is not replaced by zero or a previous day. Weekends do not silently inherit Friday’s fixing. Fixing day, price time, capture and portfolio cutoff are separate facts, not simultaneously tradable quotes.
3. Explicitly calculate the base-currency report
After review choose Calculate in base currency; the button confirms the reviewed inputs without another checkbox. Calculation rechecks current owner/session, the same ledger, original prices and fixing admission. A changed or expired constituent does not silently replace one source.
A value already in the base currency needs no conversion. It stays covered without an unrelated rate; an entirely base-native portfolio needs no fixing. Cross-currency conversion requires only the legs actually used.
4. Distinguish coverage, known portion and full total
The table retains all positions and cash exactly once, original unit/value, converted amount and gap reason. Conversion supports only CZK/EUR/USD. GBP, GBp, GBX, stablecoins and other tokens are not automatically relabelled or rescaled.
The known portion sums covered values. A full total appears only when every position and cash balance is covered; missing exposure is not zero. Totals come from exact original fractions, not a sum of rounded rows. Each output separately reports any HALF_EVEN rounding to at most 18 decimal places or a budget limit.
5. Inspect sources and download the whole conversion
Point detail retains the original price and fixing, exact identities, observations, evidence and clocks. Whole converted valuation JSON/CSV includes one full input, every position, cash, rates, gaps and totals; pagination or a selected point does not narrow the file. Export rechecks the same originals and current ownership/rights.
Value is converted, not historical cost basis or native PnL. The result is not base-currency profit, historical return, tax analysis, a financial Snapshot or public sharing. Later source capture does not prove it was known at valuation cutoff.
