Compare original SOL and BTC daily closes
Read BTC per SOL calculated from original Coinbase Exchange dollar closes for the same completed UTC bucket, including an explicit missing-counterpart day.
1. Keep the derived ratio separate from a traded pair
The numerator is the original SOL-USD close and the denominator is the original BTC-USD close. Their quotient expresses BTC per 1 SOL. This is not the price of an executed SOL-BTC trade, a simultaneous quote, a percentage return or a forecast.
Both inputs must describe the identical completed daily UTC bucket. Matching bucket boundaries establish the calculation basis, not simultaneous provider requests or publication. Each original OHLCV context and source-bundle capture remains separate.
2. Read the whole source window, including gaps
The initial window is prepared from actual stored SOL coverage, at most 90 calendar days. It is not shortened to the intersection of both histories. The retained July-to-October source window includes a final SOL day without a matching BTC candle; that missing denominator remains visible.
The untouched day selector may start at the latest available pair. Choosing a later gap keeps that exact day and its real SOL input. No prior BTC close is carried forward, no other venue is substituted and no missing value becomes zero. The displayed latest source days can therefore differ.
3. Inspect the recorded ratio and both original inputs
The server divides validated decimal strings and records up to 18 decimal places using the named HALF_UP policy. The rounded flag distinguishes a rounded quotient from an exact finite quotient. The browser only positions those recorded values in the graph; original dollar closes are not rounded by the calculation.
Open the paired Passport from an actual source observation. It verifies the ratio cell, both available originals and their separate capture clocks in one current read frame. On a missing-counterpart day it retains the real endpoint and explicit absence, while current permissions for both exact datasets remain required. Publication, provider revision and finality stay unknown.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
