Read original Bitcoin daily prices and volume
Choose a retained BTC-USD daily source window, inspect one original candle across the card, chart and table, then verify its Bitcoin quantity and exact source capture.
1. Keep the venue and original units
The page uses original unadjusted Coinbase Exchange BTC-USD daily candles. Open, high, low and close are USD per BTC; volume is BTC quantity in that exact daily bucket. It is neither dollar turnover nor a rolling24-hour total.
CoinGecko aggregate references and Binance USDT instruments remain separate sources. A missing Coinbase candle is not replaced by another venue. These retained daily closes are not live quotes, bid/ask spreads or offers to execute an order.
2. Apply a window before interpreting the result
The candle timestamp is the start of the UTC bucket [start, end), not its last trade or publication instant. Source capture is a separate clock. Unknown publication and freshness are shown as unknown, and a missing observation remains a gap.
3. Inspect one connected original day
Choose a recorded day with the date selector, previous/next controls, horizontal arrow keys or table row. One original identity updates the OHLCV card, chart marker and selected table row; switching candle, close, volume and table presentations retains it. Latest day explicitly returns to the newest retained row.
The selected candle Passport verifies its exact original price, BTC volume, UTC bucket and capture under current access. For a historical selection the summary capture is explicitly labelled as belonging to the latest result candle; the selected candle’s own capture is in its Passport. Chart coordinates are presentation only, while exact decimal strings remain available.
4. Preserve the complete original
Network estimates, sentiment, monthly returns and ETF flows are separate workflows with their own methodologies. Daily price history does not establish investment suitability, future returns or a trading recommendation.
