Saving an original stock result or only its settings
An original Snapshot retains the particular applied history or whole comparison with its inputs. Saving settings separately keeps only conditions for a new draft. Both options require your review and confirmation.
1. Retain a particular original result
First explicitly load and apply a single listing history or a comparison of 2–6 candidates in the catalogue. Review every actual identity, currency, range, window and clock. Saving the original result binds the whole applied original, rather than draft edits or the currently visible table page.
Separately prepare the original result for saving, name it, review it and confirm an immutable Snapshot. Original source documents and every selected or excluded point are retained; saving fetches no newer values. If the exact temporary input can no longer be verified, saving is refused and another source never silently replaces it.
2. Open the same Snapshot from My analyses
The original entry opens the earlier graph, table, detail and whole JSON/CSV after current account and access checks. Opening or exporting requests neither a new Yahoo history nor a new SEC catalogue. The table may be paginated; the whole export retains the original result and inputs. When verification expires, separately verify that same saved original.
To work with current data again, adopt conditions only into a new draft and explicitly confirm replacing unfinished work. The transfer carries no financial inputs and itself loads or calculates nothing. A subsequently loaded history is a new result; the old Snapshot is not overwritten.
A SEC candidate and a native Yahoo listing are distinct evidenced identities; a matching ticker does not prove the share class or issuer join. Original currency and clocks remain intact. AdjClose is not an automatic total return, and a private Snapshot grants no public distribution rights.
3. First apply an actual detail or comparison
In the stock catalogue, load the selected input, review native identity, currency and source history range, then apply the detail or comparison of 2–6 listings. Apply any local date window separately. Saving uses the last applied selection, not subsequently edited drafts.
The configuration retains exact CIK, ticker and original exchange including unknown, chosen range, local window and page size. Original row ordinal, native Yahoo identity and currency are not stored as evidence. Review them again in the newly loaded input after returning.
4. Name and confirm the private save
Save applied settings uses the last applied analysis. Sign in, enter Analysis name and choose Review save. Inspect the detail or complete ordered comparison, range and window. Only Confirm save to account submits your private configuration. Saving itself neither downloads data again nor calculates anything.
A settings entry copies no prices, OHLCV, original documents or computed series. Use the separate original Snapshot save for a particular history or comparison. A private save is not public sharing.
5. Find, rename or remove your own entry
My analyses and Return to work expose your own named stock configurations. Select the current entry; rename and remove require their own review and confirmation. Removing a configuration deletes neither the account, provider originals nor other analyses.
Entries belong to the current owner and session. An older command receipt can describe its original write while the library has a newer state. After an uncertain response, retry only the exact retained request; the app must not automatically create a second save.
6. Open current settings and adopt a draft
Opening a saved entry verifies the current account and current settings revision. Review it and choose Adopt as draft. An unfinished workspace must not be silently replaced: confirm Replace unfinished draft, or keep your current work. A passively changed or removed entry requires another review.
Neither opening nor adoption loads the catalogue, histories or prices, or runs a calculation. Renewing a short proof for the same revision preserves valid review; expired proof needs renewal. A draft is not an admitted financial result.
7. Explicitly load current inputs and resolve matches
After adoption, choose Load current catalogue first and resolve the exact saved candidate descriptors. A missing, ambiguous or changed candidate is not replaced by a similar name or a ticker alone. Select and review an actual input again.
Load listing and history or Read selected listings prepares the new originals. Review every native identity, currency and actually returned range, then apply them with one confirmation. The configuration retains no earlier currency; different comparison currencies are not converted automatically. Saving is neither current authority nor a new price.
8. Keep the new result separate from the configuration
The chart, full table, point inspector and whole JSON/CSV then belong to the newly applied result and its source clocks. A date-window selection is local; original points outside it remain retained. Returning to a name creates no historical data Snapshot and supplies no earlier source values.
Account changes, hiding or leaving the workspace block old private actions and late replies. Saving configuration itself grants no new data rights, public approval or listing-identity verification.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
