Read original prices in your private watchlists
Use your current private selection to read four separate source groups: top250 crypto, eight original Yahoo listings, broader exact-ID crypto and more stock listings. Keep membership, source clocks and available coverage distinct.
1. Choose your current private list
Open watched equity prices while signed in, then choose one named list or the union of your lists. A valid empty list stays empty. A deleted or inaccessible named list is not replaced with All automatically. Changing the list does not create a trade or change membership.
The first Watchlist tab, Market overview, puts four separate price groups on one page. Choose a list once, then Apply selection and read prices. Global search and group filters change only this private presentation. Coverage keeps every selected member and complete counts. A source failure leaves its coverage unverified; it does not prove an absent or zero price. The original groups cover up to250 CoinGecko assets and eight Yahoo listings. The broader crypto catalogue group reads at most100 exact bound members per price page. More stock listings reads at most two exact bound listings per page, separately from the original eight-price source result.
The original crypto and equity groups retain their own canonical result, source clocks, Passport and whole export. The broader crypto price-page group retains its separate source input and whole applied-page export. More stock listings retains its own original quote inputs. Neither substitutes a canonical price result. Currencies are not combined or jointly ranked. Existing two-through-six comparisons stay within their own compatible family. An open source review, export or comparison locks shared selection and other groups. Membership changes require another explicit Apply; renaming or reordering preserves the same members. Manage lists stays available for names, order and membership.
In the full equity overview or a supported listing history, Follow adds that exact listing to your most recently updated list with room, or creates a default list if none is eligible. Following means membership in at least one owned list; removing it removes that listing from all your lists. Open Watchlist to choose names and ordering. The source-price result is unchanged by membership edits.
Private membership is checked against the current account and session. Source prices have their own independent access verification. If either proof becomes unavailable, private values and actions are concealed until verification succeeds; an old account response never replaces the current selection.
2. Match exact listings and read coverage
The original canonical equity group covers eight specific Yahoo listings: AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, AMD, GOOGL, AMZN, SPY and QQQ. Membership matches the exact catalogue listing identifier. A company, a similarly named instrument or an older source identity does not silently become that listing.
Compare watched item count, supported listing count and available source-price count before reading the table. An unsupported member remains explicitly without a price; it is not zero. Search, ordering and original-precision controls only project the same captured result. They do not fetch a replacement universe.
3. Check the original price and its own date
Each row retains the original Yahoo Close in USD per unit, its source coordinate and Datisto capture. The coordinate denotes the beginning of the source session interval, not a verified closing trade or publication instant. Rows need not have a common latest date.
Yahoo Close includes provider split adjustments; it is not Adj Close, total return, an ETF NAV or an executable venue quote. Open the price Passport to inspect the exact decimal, original evidence, revision, clocks and current source access. A detail link opens that specific listing history.
4. Keep the private filter separate from the original export
Changing your private list filters the same full source result rather than creating a different price calculation. The result identity remains visible. During a Passport or export review, list selection is locked so the open review does not drift to another membership context.
The original CSV/JSON export contains all eight source listings and their evidence, including listings hidden by your private filter. It does not contain your private list names or membership. Download access is verified again. This screen does not add a private watchlist Snapshot or grant redistribution rights.
5. Compare two through six watched listings
Below the price overview, explicitly select two through six currently qualified members. Nothing is preselected and unsupported identities stay separate. Review the exact listings and apply that selection to the comparison draft. Editing checkboxes alone leaves the applied comparison unchanged; a changed list or session cannot silently replace its membership.
Load source inputs starts the separate history request only for those selected listings. Apply interval then uses their captured original histories without another source read. Common completed timestamps drive price changes, observed drawdowns, graph and table. This is independent of the latest eight-price overview, not a reconstruction of its missing dates or portfolio performance. Comparison JSON/CSV includes the complete applied histories and manifest, without private list names, IDs or session details. No selection is placed in a URL or saved automatically.
6. Follow an exact broader-catalogue asset and read its price
In the full cryptocurrency catalogue, open the exact asset detail and choose Follow asset while signed in. This one explicit action verifies its source ID, then uses the existing owned-list command. It adds to an active owned list with room or creates a default list if capacity permits. Verifying an identity or choosing Verify my lists alone does not add membership. Equal symbols never identify the same asset.
Open Manage lists to find the stored asset and exact native ID. Open the exact asset in the full catalogue returns through an encoded ID link, preserving unusual characters without guessing a ticker or another coin. Unfollow removes the asset from all your owned lists. Known owned membership can still be verified and removed after the source catalogue expires; a new addition requires a current admitted catalogue. Resolve a retained uncertain command in the existing list recovery flow before another change.
Open prices in my lists, choose your current list or union, then explicitly Apply selection and read prices. Broader crypto catalogue · my selected prices reads the first applied page, up to100 exact IDs. For another page choose Price page, then Read this page. Changing the page choice alone leaves the prior applied page unchanged. Other pages are not verified by that read. An ID absent from the current catalogue remains visible instead of being replaced.
Read the separate catalogue and quote capture clocks, original SHA and provider last_updated. Price is the original USD per token provider aggregate, not an executable trade. Source null, an absent price field, an asset not returned and an ID absent from the catalogue are separate states; none becomes zero. Inspect the selected asset’s original fields and units. A changed account, session, membership or request hides obsolete private-context results.
Whole price page JSON and Whole price page CSV contain every original field and returned/not-returned state of the applied page, not prices from other watchlist pages. Current download access is checked again. If any applied member is absent from the current catalogue, the whole-page export is unavailable: no reduced file is produced. Following does not enable an alert, create a price observation or save price history; original history and its Snapshot remain separate workflows.
7. Follow and return to an exact broader stock listing
In Stocks → Catalogue, explicitly load and review a listing and its history, then choose Follow listing while signed in. The action verifies that exact original source and uses the existing owned-list command. Venue, instrument type, native currency and time zone identify the listing; a matching ticker or SEC candidate alone does not prove its share class. The original eight listings reuse their established identity only when the native listing matches.
Manage lists shows the stored symbol, venue, type and currency. Return to this listing opens /stocks/catalogue?watchEntity=… with the stored identity, not a guessed symbol search. Verify the owned listing, explicitly load its current SEC catalogue, then load and review the exact candidate’s listing and history. A missing, changed or ambiguous candidate is refused. The new native listing must match the saved venue, type, currency and time zone. Opening the return link or verifying owned metadata alone does not read Yahoo or replace the saved binding.
In Market overview, explicitly apply your list selection. More stock listings reads a page of at most two selected listings through the existing source reader. Other pages remain unread until explicitly requested. Each requested member keeps its own available or unavailable state; an unavailable source or changed listing never becomes zero or a substitute instrument. Watchlist membership, current source permissions and the current account/session are verified separately.
These are original provider regularMarketPrice values with their own regularMarketTime, native currency and capture clocks. They are not the completed daily Close of the original eight-listing group, an executable trade, a portfolio valuation or an FX conversion. A null price or unknown quote time remains explicit. Following does not create a price series, enable an alert or save history. Use the separate original-history workflow for its full files or Snapshot.
Unfollow removes the known listing from all your lists even after its source input expires. An uncertain membership command keeps its original recovery flow; verify its original receipt before another change. A new addition or price read needs its applicable current authority. No opening, return or page change silently follows a listing or places an order.
Once a complete price page has all original sources available, it automatically rechecks access roughly every 10 seconds against those same results, SHA hashes and capture times, without another Yahoo read. The first failed check stops automatic renewal; when its proof expires, the values are hidden. New prices require an explicit read.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
