Reading unified stock, crypto and cash history
Choose a source for every holding in the selected interval, review the original histories and apply one unified result. Actual dated quantities, original units and gaps stay visible.
1. Prepare the interval and actual dated holdings
In Portfolio, prepare a completed UTC interval in Historical value. Unified history uses actual daily states from the current recorded ledger, including holdings closed today. It does not project today’s quantities into the past.
Unified history leads to one combined result. Original stock view remains separately available; adding crypto does not rewrite its prices, quantities or files.
2. Confirm a source for every historical holding
For each own holding and accounting unit, explicitly choose No source, Confirmed stock listing or an available daily Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana series from Coinbase in USD. Confirm the unit where requested. Matching ticker text or an old current-price assignment does not prove the correct historical source.
Adopt confirmed stock sources copies reviewed stock choices into the draft. A missing or unassigned holding remains in the result without an estimated price. Selection is neither a trade instruction nor an automatic change to the saved ledger.
3. Load original inputs and apply the complete draft
Optionally enable Use daily CNB fixings to convert into the actual CZK, EUR or USD base currency. Then choose Load selected original histories and review every returned source, unit and time window. Loading inputs or editing choices does not yet produce a new financial result.
Apply unified history calculates one report from the complete reviewed draft. Stock decisions remain original; crypto values use specific original daily closes. A current-price overview is not treated as daily history.
4. Read the two actual time boundaries
Quantities and cash belong to the final millisecond of the accounting UTC day. The daily crypto candle completes at the following UTC midnight; the detail shows that separate price boundary and the original candle start/end. A candle’s start is not its closing time.
Only the exact matching completed UTC day is used. A missing day, null, suspect, retracted or invalid candle remains a gap without carrying an older price. A valid original close may be zero. Each source has its own capture clock; downloading history later does not prove then-known information.
5. Inspect native and base units
Read the chart in native units or the base currency. The complete table and shared day/member/source detail use the same result. Every holding and cash balance is counted exactly once; the known portion stays distinct from the complete portfolio, and an unknown value is not zero.
Conversion requires the needed original rates; a member already in the base currency needs no unrelated fixing. A CNB reference may carry a real earlier fixing for up to seven calendar days, with visible age and no bypassing the latest unusable point. GBP/GBp or USDT are not automatically equated with another unit. The local CNB dataset is currently scoped to 2026, with the lead-in bounded by 1 January. Outside that interval, turn off currency conversion to continue in native units.
6. Verify the same inputs and download every day
Verify the same unified history renews access to the same report and original inputs without silently recalculating with different prices. A changed source draft, ledger or session cannot adopt a late old result. Temporarily concealed private work can return after fresh admission.
Whole unified history JSON or CSV contains the full interval, every member, the original financial report and complete source artifacts. Selecting a unit or day does not truncate the export. A file preserves provenance and methodology, not a login or live authority.
7. Value and cost PnL are not performance
Crypto value uses original quantity and close, while currency totals use exact original amounts before final rounding. Cost PnL requires a known cost basis in the same original unit; it must not be confused with base-currency PnL.
Deposits and withdrawals change value; they are not investment profit. This reference does not claim TWR, CAGR, performance drawdown, complete corporate actions, tax or historical FX PnL. Reconstructing the current recorded ledger is not a record of what the application knew in the past.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
