Reading the individual-company industry map
Thirty specific companies grouped by original SEC SIC classification, with one shared price session and exact change between adjacent closes.
Companies and classification, rather than sector ETFs
The company industry map contains a fixed dated selection of 30 individual companies. Groups use the SIC code and original description in the dated original SEC document. This is neither GICS, the entire equity market nor a historical classification reconstruction. Classification publication and effective dates are not supplied; a price-session date does not establish them. Dated catalogue identity and declared filing identity remain separate; mismatches are not rewritten.
Every company has an equal-size tile. Area does not represent market capitalization, company weights or an aggregated industry return. The separate Sector ETF map remains a view of eleven fund proxies; the two maps are not interchangeable.
One completed session and adjacent original closes
The first visible opening reads the existing price batch and original classifications once. If the inputs permit a common completed session, the latest choice is applied once. Further session, industry, direction and search changes are drafts confirmed with Apply. Until then, map and table retain the previous applied query. Sorting and switching Map/Table affect presentation only.
Change = 100 × (selected original Close − immediately preceding original Close) / preceding Close. Both points must be completed; a missing price is not skipped to an earlier usable value. A shared timestamp identifies the native source-session start, not a simultaneous closing execution. Original Yahoo Close includes split adjustments; it is neither Adj Close nor dividend total return.
Missing inputs, company detail and full export
Missing prices and missing classifications are different states. A company without classification remains in a separate group. Original price points can be inspected separately; without a verified identity association the derived change remains unavailable. An unavailable change is not zero. Choose a tile or row for original SIC, dated SEC evidence, the two specific Yahoo prices, their positions, capture clocks and SHA-256. Technical evidence is collapsible; profile and price links open separate analyses.
Manual refresh reads inputs. Failure retains the clearly dated prior result; success prepares a new set for explicit Apply. JSON/CSV contain the same whole model of all 30 companies, matches and exclusions, original inputs and manifest. Export verifies current local access without reading new prices or SEC documents. This is not a canonical account Snapshot, investment advice or a measure of the whole market.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
