Reading original dividends and splits
An exact listing, UTC window and source event types lead to one timeline, table, Passport and whole export. A historical record is not confirmation of payment.
1. Select an exact listing and window
Dividends and splits prepares actual events for default AAPL within captured coverage on first opening. From a price or native detail, Open events for this listing opens the exact qualified identity. An unsupported listing is not replaced by another stock; Choose a qualified listing opens the supported-source view; it does not validate the originally unsupported stock.
From UTC day and Through UTC day inclusive are UTC calendar days. The first and last source days are clipped to the exact captured interval; draft and applied summary show the actual start and exclusive end. Prepare full captured window fills the draft without applying a result. Choose Dividends and splits, Dividends only or Splits only.
2. Initial result and selection changes
The first valid selection is applied automatically for the timeline, complete list, Passport and JSON/CSV. Later listing, window or type edits remain drafts until explicitly applied again. Refresh source metadata verifies the source roster and coverage without rewriting an original saved result. An unavailable document is not zero events.
3. Timeline markers do not compare amounts and ratios
Source-event timeline uses separate dividend and split lanes. Horizontal position means original UTC time; marker size does not mean amount, ratio or return. Complete event list can be sorted newest/oldest and paged. Pages do not narrow the whole JSON/CSV; amounts are not summed and event kinds share no monetary axis.
4. Distinguish source values from an unknown calendar
A historical dividend is the provider-reported amount in the reported currency. Its adjustment basis is not independently verified; it is not evidence of original cash paid. A split retains its original numerator, denominator and ratio text. Zero is not a missing value. An event date is not independently established as ex-date, record date, distribution or payment date. Declaration, ex-date, record date, payment, status and corrections remain unreported.
Event Passport or a timeline marker opens the exact identity, original key/time token, amount or ratio, numeric tokens, capture and separate source-body/capture checksums. An event posts no portfolio transaction, changes no Yahoo Close price and establishes no received income, entitlement, tax, future payment or total return.
5. Coverage remains available without events
Coverage and original document remains available for an empty result: exact listing, original interval, whole-document counts, family presence, currency, time zone, capture, ingestion, evidence and policy. Whole coverage receipt shows that complete same input. Zero matches means no event in this document, window and filter; reading the whole document does not establish complete market history. Missing families receive no placeholder event.
Whole export uses the same query and manifest as chart and table under current access/source verification. Even an empty result retains coverage evidence separately from actual events. Local-development authorization is not a public dataset licence; broader source and native acceptance remain separate.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
