Compare cryptocurrencies at original shared timestamps
Choose two to six current-catalogue identities, load their dated histories and compare relative price movement with the original prices and complete inputs alongside.
1. Choose exact identities and apply
On first opening, crypto comparison prepares BTC and ETH if you have no existing selection. A selection of two to six identities and changes to the 7, 30 or 90-day period load automatically; Refresh comparison repeats the same request. An explicitly cleared list is not refilled. Identity uses the original CoinGecko ID, never a ticker match.
2. Read the actual shared instants
Only exact original Unix-millisecond timestamps with usable prices in every selected series enter the shared result. Times are not rounded to an hour or day, shifted or replaced by a neighbouring observation. Each source may return a different sample or coverage; a sparse or empty intersection is an honest result. This is not a daily closing-price comparison.
3. Understand the common base
Every series begins at 100 at the first shared timestamp with positive prices in all series. Index 100 equals original price divided by that series’ base price times 100, rounded to 8 decimal places with integer arithmetic. The underlying decimal prices remain unchanged. A later zero is valid; a null or missing observation is not zero. This compares price movement, not dividends, fees, staking income or total investment return.
4. Inspect the same result in every view
Switch the graph and exact table, select an original shared point and inspect every original USD price and its base 100 index. Pagination changes the displayed rows only. Whole CSV/JSON preserve the applied selection, complete source inputs and receipts, common points and excluded timestamps; they are not a download of only the current page. Unapplied draft edits retain the previous result with its original identities and period.
