Model dated BTC purchases from original daily closes
Choose a completed UTC period and explicit cash assumptions, calculate one source-backed purchase schedule, inspect original prices and keep the complete model. The first visit prepares the latest available bounded period and editable model amounts. Results use actual stored daily prices only; an absent day remains absent.
1. Choose days and assumptions
In Calculators, open BTC purchases from original prices. Both selected dates are inclusive source days in UTC. The interval is at most 60 completed calendar days. Choose daily steps or every seven days beginning with the first selected day, a positive USD contribution, an explicit fixed nonnegative purchase fee and initial USD cash. An empty fee is not silently zero.
2. Read purchases, fees and carried cash
Each scheduled step adds the selected contribution to carried cash, then purchases the largest supported quantity after its fixed fee, rounding quantity down. A step with no purchase applies no purchase fee. Initial cash plus contributions equals spending plus applied fees plus remaining cash. Days between weekly steps add no contributions.
The chart shows accumulated modeled BTC, while USD amounts remain in the cards and complete schedule. The final cash-threshold column uses that row’s price and fee for one further quantity quantum; it does not forecast the next day. Average price is spending divided by quantity; average acquisition cost also includes fees. Rounded cards use ≈ and exact output strings remain in details and exports.
3. Inspect the actual original close
Open a row’s price Passport to inspect the exact Coinbase BTC/USD daily Close, original OHLCV context, evidence, revision and capture. The modeled purchase instant is the end boundary of the completed UTC candle, not its start, an exact closing trade or a provider publication instant. Different days may come from different actual captures.
Every scheduled day needs its own usable original price. A missing, nonpositive, withheld or unsupported price refuses the whole model; no day is skipped and no previous close is carried forward. The selected original source days between weekly purchases are still preserved as inputs.
4. Keep the model separate from actual holdings
This is a hypothetical dated cash model, not an order, a recorded trade or evidence that a close could have been achieved. It does not calculate a current market value, profit, investment return, currency conversion or tax basis, and does not write portfolio events. The source’s current local development access does not establish public redistribution rights.
