Annual report of recorded sales
Choose a year and your own accounts to inspect sales with their original consumed lots. The report discloses missing inputs and provides a whole-report export; it does not calculate tax.
1. Explicitly choose a year and accounts
In Portfolio, open realized sales and the Annual sales report. Enter a year from 0001–9998 in Calendar year · UTC and select one to 100 own selling accounts. All accounts and Clear accounts change only the draft. Select Apply year and accounts. The year follows the sale’s original effectiveAt timestamp in UTC; draft edits do not replace an already applied report.
The report uses the complete admitted financial ledger and its displayed economic cutoff. Accounts form your reporting selection. This is not a legally verified tax group or a merger of acquisition lots across accounts.
2. Follow each original sale and consumed lot
Each sale retains its original quantity, proceeds, acquisition basis, PnL and consumed lots. The existing FIFO within each account is retained; selecting accounts does not run a second FIFO calculation. A matching instrument identifier does not authorize matching sales across accounts.
A sale’s account can differ from the original acquisition account after a transfer. A related acquisition may therefore come from an account outside your selection. Native currencies stay separate; portfolio-base-currency amounts have their own columns and availability. Lots and sources opens the consumed lots and a route to the original acquisition event.
3. Read the quality of individual inputs
Missing acquisition basis, proceeds, FX or acquisition date is shown as unknown with a reason. Zero is a known value, not a replacement for missing data. Totals are separated by currency, and an individual total column remains unknown if any contributing value is missing. One available column does not verify the others.
Also inspect source issues and calendar-period coverage. If the displayed economic cutoff does not cover the end of the selected year, the period is partial. A year that has not started at that cutoff is not a forecast of future sales. Even a full calendar period and known basis do not establish complete broker history. The report does not verify tax residence, rates, holding-period tests, exemptions or a tax return.
4. Renew access to the same source
An applied report retains the complete ledger’s exact revision and fingerprint, year, accounts and economic cutoff. Verify the same report or export rereads that same source at the same cutoff. It does not silently replace it with the latest ledger or a different cutoff.
If your account, session, source or availability changes, verify your own portfolio again. To use a different source or selection, explicitly load and apply it. Reading and exporting do not change financial events.
5. Download the whole evidence packet, not a table page
Whole report JSON and Whole report CSV include the whole applied report, all pages, selection, totals, gaps and consumed-lot provenance. They also include all original own input events and accounts of that portfolio once, including unselected accounts, so the calculation’s source can be inspected. The selection scope and complete input scope are distinguished in the export. Keep the file private.
The export omits write idempotency keys, owner or session identities and authentication secrets. It is a readable evidence packet, not a tax calculation, import or automatically restorable backup. The separate original-ledger export is available in Activity; unknown derived amounts do not mean the original records are missing.
6. Save and manage your own account groups
Under Named account groups, save the current draft of one to 100 own accounts under a name. The library holds up to 50 groups. Select Review group save, inspect the change and whole collection in the request, then Confirm account groups save. Only the name, portfolio and exact account identities are saved; the year, amounts, lots and report results are not.
Verify groups reads your current own collection. Find a group and inspect its accounts and exact identities. Adopt into selection requires the same portfolio and every account in the currently verified own source. A missing or different account is not substituted or silently skipped; no partial selection is adopted. Adoption changes only the account draft. The year and last applied report remain; a new report requires Apply year and accounts.
Rename changes the group’s name. Review replacement with current draft proposes replacing its members with the current draft selection from the same portfolio. Review deletion removes only the library group, not an account or its events. Each change requires review and separate confirmation of the whole collection; Cancel before sending saves nothing. A group is not a tax pool and does not change FIFO within accounts.
If the collection has a newer revision, cancel the unsent draft, verify the current list and prepare the change again. If a command was already sent and its outcome is uncertain, its original form remains retained. Verify and retry the same command uses the original key and content; nothing retries automatically. Reloading the tab can recover the original command when session storage works; follow the displayed notice for memory-only recovery. Confirmation of an older command does not roll back a newer collection. After an account or session change, verify the same own account first; saved groups themselves grant no financial-data access.
Save the original report in My analyses
Apply prepares one actual private result from the complete owned ledger. Save Snapshot opens a review of its name and original result; separate confirmation saves it in My analyses. The whole original report and inputs needed for FIFO are retained, not merely the current table page. Later transactions or portfolio renaming do not recalculate the original snapshot.
Reopen or prepare a new report
Open the original annual report from My analyses. Verification rechecks current access to the same snapshot; JSON and CSV belong to that result. To calculate anew, choose to adopt its selection in Portfolio, review actual current accounts and explicitly confirm any draft replacement. Adoption alone changes no results; another Apply creates the new report. The snapshot remains private and establishes neither a tax calculation nor complete broker history.
This is a guide to Datisto. Private features require sign-in and access to your own data. Personal models use your assumptions; availability and permitted use of source data are checked with the particular result. This is not investment advice.
